Not gonna lie, I didn’t get into vintage because I loved fashion. I didn’t get into it to try and save the world and create a sustainable lifestyle. Those weren’t huge concerns when I was barely a teenager. Creating myself was. I worked as a bagger at a grocery store in Seattle and spend what little money I had on second hand and vintage clothes and concert tickets. I got into vintage as a necessity. I could only afford vintage and second hand. As I got older (although still light on the finances), my necessity turned into more of a passion project. I learned what to look for and how to spot more quality pieces. I learned to sew and alter my finds. Vintage helped create who I am - through some quite questionable style eras and through some not so bad ones. Being able to share my finds with other vintage lovers who have their own story is just part of the fun.
